About the project

“Fight Against the Darkness” is a 360 campaign that helped Energizer infiltrate and create awareness in Japan. In a very competitive and cluttered Japanese market, Energizer wanted to stand out from the crowd. As a country that is constantly threatened by earthquakes that lead to power cuts, the purchase of hand held lights, head lights and so on is crucial. Making brands such as Energizer indispensable.

The star of the campaign was the manga saga created to introduce Mr. Energizer and the brand range of products. Very much inspired by the Japanese culture, we have created a story behind Mr.Energizer giving him depth and purpose. We follow our main character and his family in their fight against darkness.

The manga series not only helped us create brand awareness but brand loyalty and relatability as well.

 

Along with traditional mediums such as billboard & in store displays highlighting the new energizer products. A printed version of the manga was distributed in stores. A digital version exists as well, pushed on social and can be scanned through a QR code placed on all printed and physical deliverables.
